ATTIVANZA–ETS is an independent Third Sector association that serves as a space for civic engagement, promoted by people committed to “active citizenship,” and open to all those who, through their everyday actions, choose to respond
to the general climate of distrust in the future and to nurture democracy — not only as a form of government, but above all as a way of understanding society, placing social relationships, the protection of common goods, and economic development that respects ecosystems and human dignity at its center.
Who We Are
We are people who believe in the collective power to change the world. ATTIVANZA is an independent and open Third Sector association, created to strengthen democracy as a daily practice and as a model of society based on common goods and human dignity. It promotes civic participation and political culture, with a specific focus on youth engagement. It operates nationwide.
Why We Exist
Party politics is often perceived as distant. Abstention and distrust in institutions are increasing. In a context marked by global problems — wars, climate crisis, inequalities — that directly affect us, we cannot afford indifference or resignation. We must play an active role: staying informed and contributing to public life. Democracy truly works only when citizens are its protagonists. ATTIVANZA was born from this very idea: not waiting for others to decide for us, but doing our part in the public decisions that concern us. We address:

Our Vision
We aspire to a sustainable, fair, and peaceful world, in line with the 2015 United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
Sustainable development represents the paradigm for just and peaceful global coexistence: it seeks a balance between the economy, social equity, and the planet’s limits in order to meet present needs without compromising those of future generations. It is closely connected to international law and multilateral cooperation.
But this transformation requires, first and foremost, political will, investments, and strong institutions.
What We Do: Institutional Sustainability
Sustainability is not only environmental or social: it is also institutional. It means having transparent, accountable, and open institutions capable of listening to and involving people in public policymaking. This is the “political pillar” of sustainable development. A democracy truly functions when citizens and institutions engage in dialogue, share expertise, and make long-term oriented decisions together. Our mission is ambitious: we aim to connect citizens and institutions and provide concrete tools for public participation in order to build a sustainable and just future together. We therefore develop projects and collaborative networks to improve decision-making processes and make citizens active participants in collective choices.
1. Migliorare la qualità della rappresentanza politica. C’è bisogno di avere nelle istituzioni nazionali e sovranazionali rappresentanti preparati sulle priorità dello Sviluppo sostenibile, consapevoli dei rapporti di interdipendenza fra i Paesi, orientati alla cooperazione equa nell’affrontare le emergenze e le sfide comuni;

Rendere le principali istituzioni per la convivenza globale sempre più “efficaci, responsabili e trasparenti” con un sistema di governance pubblica “aperto, partecipativo e rappresentativo a tutti i livelli*” garantendo il ruolo centrale della Politica nel processo decisionale a tutela della pace, dei beni comuni globali, dello Sviluppo sostenibile;
3. Promuovere la partecipazione civica a sostegno dell’azione politica di cittadinanza, una relazione sociale «viva» tra le Persone e la comunità, oltre alla mera forma giuridica, il cui esercizio sviluppa sia la dimensione personale dei diritti, sia la dimensione solidale dei doveri.
Why This Concerns Europe
The European Union is the place where common policies are built, responses to global challenges are coordinated, and shared democratic standards are defined. Many of the decisions that affect our lives are made at the European level. This is where institutional sustainability becomes tangible and where the global meets the local. Without more democratic and participatory European institutions, it becomes difficult to address planetary emergencies that directly impact our communities. Strengthening them also means providing responses that are closer to people and to the contexts in which they live.
For us, institutional sustainability means democratizing the European Union and strengthening it as a political actor — for example through a constitutional charter and greater powers for the Parliament — in order to pursue the objectives outlined in Article 3 of the Treaty on European Union: “peace, security, the sustainable development of the Earth, solidarity and mutual respect among peoples, free and fair trade, the eradication of poverty, the protection of human rights, and the strict observance and development of international law, in particular respect for the principles of the United Nations Charter.”
Our Identity
Democracy represents a high ideal, just as peace, human rights, and sustainable development do. It requires time, sacrifice, the ability to engage in dialogue and mediation, the willingness to question oneself, to confront others’ perspectives, to respect differences, and often to live through contradictions and face conflicts.
ATTIVANZA is always in motion. The balloon shape recalls communication, understood as the ability to dialogue and share. It is a tear in a blank sheet of paper, or a beam of light seeking to guide us toward a common destiny; but it is also an irregular shape representing the beauty of diversity.

Il pensiero femminista e i movimenti delle donne, nella pluralità di espressioni e pratiche, hanno rappresentato una costante fonte di ispirazione, portandomi nel 2013 a fondare una cooperativa sociale con centro antiviolenza e ad attivarmi concretamente per la parità di genere e le pari opportunità.
A livello professionale, mi occupo di consulenza strategica sulla sostenibilità d’impresa sperando di poter contribuire, nel mio piccolo, a diffondere un modello economico-sociale più equo e in equilibrio con gli ecosistemi.
Attivanza significa per me la possibilità di entrare in contatto con donne e uomini che giorno per giorno, in tante parti del nostro paese e del mondo, si battono per una società più giusta; significa anche dare piena dignità all’azione politica di cittadinanza a favore di politiche pubbliche per uno sviluppo umano sostenibile.

VICE PRESIDENT
Da sempre curiosa di scoprire e capire il mondo, ho studiato lingue orientali all’università con specializzazione in relazioni internazionali e protezione internazionale dei diritti umani. Ho vissuto in Giappone, in Brasile e ora mi ritrovo a Bruxelles.
Lavoro nell’ambito dell’innovazione digitale, cercando un approccio che sia inclusivo e rispettoso dell’etica e dei diritti. Mi interfaccio giornalmente con le Istituzioni Europee e attori internazionali, a cui cerco sempre di rivolgermi in modo concreto e portando esempi dal territorio, per non far dimenticare la dimensione locale negli spazi della democrazia europea.
Seguo anche progetti per combattere la disinformazione ed aumentare gli strumenti nelle mani dei cittadini per riconoscere notizie false e avere il potere di difendere la democrazia. È proprio attraverso l’ impegno politico di tutti, un impegno informato, che potremo proteggere i diritti fondamentali della persona. E´ per questo che credo nel progetto di Attivanza, un´iniziativa a cui sento di contribuire attraverso la mia conoscenza di ciò che succede a Bruxelles e saperla comunicare a livello locale in modo neutrale e oggettivo.

Per mia fortuna sono per lo più naufragato su spiagge stimolanti. La mia formazione giuridica mi ha permesso di comprendere e coltivare il valore del rigore linguistico e metodologico. La mia esperienza professionale (operatore di consulenza del Centro di Servizio per il Volontariato Lombardia sud) mi ha interrogato con sempre maggiore frequenza, e urgenza, sul reale valore e sul reale impatto delle regole del Diritto nel nostro contesto e sulla difficoltà di accettare il valore di una cultura delle regole. La mia esperienza militare (orgoglioso ex aviere dell’Aeronautica Militare Italiana per breve tempo anche in zona di operazioni) mi ha fatto capire che esistono realtà assai distanti da quelle che noi diamo per scontato e mi ha fatto riscoprire la mia giovanile passione per la storia e la geografia.
Per me Attivanza è una valvola di sfogo rispetto alla miopia del quotidiano. Un modo per cercare di guardare la realtà oggettiva con altri occhi e per interpretarla per com’è, e non per come voglio che sia. Perché, in ultima analisi, sono convinto che solo attraverso la consapevolezza è possibile cambiare le cose.
